Een echte delicatesse: Bergse ansjovis. Op ambachtelijke wijze gevangen in de Oosterschelde, door de laatste weervisser van de hele wereld: Van Dort!

Weervisserij is een traditionele vangsttechniek die waarschijnlijk al even oud is als de mensheid. In de loop der jaren is de vistechniek verandert naar visvangst op voornamelijk grote vissersschepen, die massa’s vis tegelijk kan vangen. Het aantal weervissers is hierdoor flink afgenomen tot het punt waar wij in het heden zijn: nog maar één weervisser in de hele wereld! Van Dort uit Bergen op Zoom is de laatste die met traditionele weervisserij ansjovis vangt. De vangstperiode is in het voorjaar (mei tot juni). De meeste ansjovis wordt direct verkocht en een klein deel wordt gezouten. Corazon streek producten heeft mits beschikbaar, gezouten ansjovis van Van Dort.
